SEI in Action: Early Language Network & What’s Working for Summit County Students!

Hi Friend,

November is a time to be thankful and to take action.
As we gather with family and friends this month, it’s also a chance to reflect on how we can support those facing hunger or housing insecurity in our communities. November is Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Month, a meaningful time to show compassion through gratitude and giving.

When we come together as educators, families and community partners we can make a lasting difference. Each of us has the power to model empathy and action, showing students what it means to care for others. By working side by side, we create a community where every child learns that compassion and service can spark real change.

Support local food drives and shelters.
Encourage students to volunteer or lead service projects.
Thank those who dedicate their time to helping others.

Every act of care and kindness strengthens our community. Together, we can create a season of gratitude where everyone feels supported, valued and connected.

Early Language Learning Network

Preschool teachers in the Early Language Learning Network recently gathered for their first network meeting to reflect on student data, exchange classroom insights, and explore strategies that give every child a strong foundation for kindergarten success.
